“Atomic Ranch” is a national quarterly magazine devoted to midcentury homes built all across the nation to satisfy the housing demands of GIs returning from WWII. The United States in the 50’s and 60’s saw an economic and population boom that fed innovative ideas (many from Michigan) in housing design, appliances and furnishings. “Atomic Ranch” features the custom and tract homes from this era and the efforts of homeowners to restore and enjoy them. Since 2004, this magazine for “Midcentury Marvels” has grown to a readership of over 100,000 and is available through subscription, major grocery chains and book stores such as Barnes & Noble. The editors have also authored two books under the same title, published by Gibbs Smith.
